The Christian Perspective, Where Are We Today

For those of us living in the United States (a so-called Christian Country) life has become interesting, or maybe depressing is a better word to use.  Current events show the attack on the Bible and Christian beliefs, and they are getting more numerous, all the time.

  • We have a openly homosexual judge in California deciding that his one vote over-rides the will of the citizens of his state.  He also took it upon himself to try and change the many years old, moral traditions of the State, Country, and World.
  • Our President (if he is eligible) has so many policies, both at home and abroad that seem to be a planned attempt to bring this country down.
  • The first thing he should do is open up the records he has hidden up to this point, that should prove once and for all if he should be considered a natural born citizen.
    He also has issues with if he is even a US citizen at this time, due to choices his mother made concerning him.  Mr President, just prove it, or if you are a fraud, give it up and go to prison.
  • Our Federal Government is suing the State of Arizona for passing a law which basically allows the state to do the federal governments job.  We need a strong Immigration Policy, for LEGAL IMMIGRANTS.  The folks here ILLEGALLY need to be deported, not given a free pass for being lawbreakers.
  • Our newest justice on the US Supreme Court is under investigation, and there is already talk of impeaching/removing her from office.  My question is, how could she be approved for a lifetime appointment with these allegations hanging over her.  Why was it so important to get her rushed through the process, that common sense, and the pride of actually doing your job, got pushed to the back burner.

Well that isn’t much directly to do with the Christian Perspective, but if you stop and think about it, it has everything to do with the Christian Perspective.  There are so many things happening these days which seem to be direct attacks on Christians, and the Bible.

Now I sure did not agree with a lot of things President Bush did while in office, and some of his decisions, well I’m not sure where they came from, but one thing I felt we could depend upon was that he was looking to God for guidance.

Now President Obama can’t seem to make up his mind when it comes to his religious beliefs.  So I doubt he is looking to God for help, and he should because he sure could use the help.

MAT 5:44MAT 5:44
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
