Every believer has been called to preach God’s Word, not just pastors of churches. When Christ gave the Great Commission to “preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15Mark 16:15
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

This was practiced first by the members of the church at Jerusalem. Then, when the believers were “all scattered abroad . . . except the apostles” (Acts 8:1Acts 8:1
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

8 1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

Then shortly afterward, the Lord called him down to Gaza where he met an Ethiopian eunuch, and he “preached unto him Jesus” (Acts 8:35Acts 8:35
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
